We love Butterflies! It really is a community where everyone is valued and heard. The staff are so welcoming and offer a wonderful mix of knowledge and playfulness. The space is perfect for allowing the children to connect and explore risky play in a calm environment. My 4-year-old particularly loves exploring the woods in new and exciting ways and has enjoyed the tree net, swings and obstacle courses. There is always so much on offer which the kids are able to participate in if they want to but there is never any pressure. They can use the space in any way they choose and often guide the sessions in exciting and interesting ways. My son feels so free at Butterflies. We couldn't be happier with this forest school.

An incredibly positive experience.
I would just like to say, it’s been a pleasure to watch this group grow since we joined in September. Asa and Kerry have really taken the time to get to know each child and listen to their feedback on what they’d like to do. As a result, the group is one of our favourite days of the week. Every session offers a wide variety of activities, and it’s evident that a lot of effort goes into planning them. My daughter’s confidence and skill set has grown a lot since joining! The group has a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere and attending has been an incredibly positive experience. We are so grateful for the welcoming environment Asa and Kerry have created so thank you!

5 star review! We love coming to Butterflies! A talks about it all the time and it’s such a wonderful opportunity to get close to nature, meet some other like-minded families and enjoy the changing seasons in the forest! The team are just perfect for creating a child-led safe space to explore and enjoy.

My son LOVES the forest school. He is comfortable with the number of people there and has made some strong connections with a few children, Asa, Kerry and a few parents. It is such an amazing place to let your child feel free to explore, play and socialize without my intervention or guidance. It’s definitely boosted our son's confidence and as a result he is more open to play and speak to others.

Butterflies Forest School is a wonderful place which allows M to explore the forest at her own pace. Each week the themes give exciting activities that she can’t wait to get stuck in. Kerry and Asa are so friendly and welcoming, M feels completely at ease with them both and I often refer to her as their little shadow. Thank you Butterflies Forest School for making Tuesdays our favourite day – we are so glad we found you!

Coming to Butterflies Home Ed Herons Stay and Play is the highlight of our week. The home ed stay and play sessions have a wonderful community feel. The wide age range creates many lovely opportunities for socialising and sharing skills. There are so many opportunities to engage, explore, learn and play. The gentle guidance and support from the leaders ensure everyone's interests and needs are heard and validated.
Come rain, cold or shine, it’s always enjoyable.
We absolutely love the Under 5s Stay and Play session. Come rain, cold or shine it’s always enjoyable. My son loves it and we look forward to it every week! There’s always so much for them to do and so many new things to experience each week, from activities and equipment to visits from small gardening businesses and authors. Kerry and Asa are amazing with the children and I appreciate the well-stocked coffee station! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
