Forest FAQs
What do children need to bring with them to Forest School?
We will send all you'll need to know before your child's session – but you can also find detailed information by clicking on your chosen session over on our booking site. Key things: trainers as well as wellies, their own reusable water bottle, full length leggings/trousers/joggers at ALL times of the year, spare change of clothing – all packed in a named kit bag!
Are toilets available?
Yes, but it is not a fully plumbed in toilet block! We use a chemical camping toilet, but we aim to be installing a compost toilet in the near future.
Do you cater for SEND?
Yes, absolutely. We welcome children with SEND and encourage families to contact us directly to discuss individual needs – ideally at least six weeks before sessions begin. Support is tailored case by case, and where appropriate, we can apply for additional funding for children with a high-level EHCP.
Do you take HAF vouchers?
Yes, we do! HAF vouchers can be used for our Easter and Summer Holiday Clubs. Booking opens at 6:30pm on the day vouchers are released and spaces usually go fast, so be ready to book early!
Do you have insurance cover?
Yes, Public Liability specific to forest schools.
Are sessions drop-off or parent-attended?
DROP-OFF ONLY – unless it is specifically stated that they are parent-attended (eg Toddler Only sessions).
