Meet the Team

Butterflies Forest School was established in the Spring of 2021. We are Ofsted registered and we welcome Tax Free Childcare (TFC) vouchers.

At Butterflies Forest School, your child is welcomed by a passionate, experienced team who believe in the power of play, nature, and kindness. All our leaders are qualified and DBS-checked with a shared love of the outdoors and a deep respect for every child’s unique journey.

We don’t just run sessions – we build relationships, nurture confidence, and create a safe, joyful space where children can truly let their personalities shine.

Sarah-Jane, Bee, Banjo, Kerry and Asa each bring their own strengths and spark to the woods – from storytelling and bushcraft to creative play and quiet moments of connection.

Some children love diving into muddy play or mastering tools; others prefer a calm chat by the fire. However your child likes to explore, we’re here to support them with warmth, patience and genuine care. Every session is child-led, and steered by how the children are feeling on the day.

Our goal is always the same: to nurture curiosity, confidence, and the kind of learning that grows from within.

What people say about Butterflies Forest School

My girls LOVE Butterflies Forest School. All the staff are so kind and welcoming. Lots of mess, lots of fun, lots of skills they learn. Great fun they always have! Would highly recommend!

Emma Harvey

I asked my 6 year old to explain what Butterflies means to her, her reply: “Mummy it fills me full of fun, I love it!” Our whole week revolves around a countdown to when we can go to Butterflies, so that speaks for itself.

Kaz Cooper

My Granddaughter loves her Forest School, she loves exploring and learning new skills. The leaders are lovely and very supportive of the children.

Sue Pamby

The first thing my children said when their session was over was, "We wish we could go to Forest school everyday!" They really do have the best time ever and seeing the joy in their faces when they come home and hearing about all the things they have been up to is what makes us keep coming back.

My boy had his first day at forest school today, I can honestly say he absolutely loved it. He walked out of there with the biggest smile on his face, in fact all the children did, despite the very soggy weather. Can't wait to book him in again for more wonderful experiences and making more memories!
